The first hours decide the size of the job
Every hour that water sits, it spreads further and soaks deeper. Carpet pad absorbs it within minutes. Drywall wicks it upward. Water runs under cabinets and through floor penetrations into the ceiling below. By the time a full day passes, a problem that could have been handled with extraction and drying can require tear-out and mold prevention work.
That is why our phone line at (888) 831-7491 is answered around the clock and why crews in Mohave Valley, AZ are dispatched as soon as a call comes in. While we are on the way, the coordinator will walk you through shutting off the water and power to affected areas and moving belongings out of harm's way.
What extraction involves
On arrival, technicians confirm the source is stopped and check the area for electrical hazards. We then remove standing water using truck-mounted units for large volumes and portable extractors for tight spaces, stairs and upper floors. Weighted extraction tools press water out of carpet and pad, which removes far more moisture than surface vacuuming.
We lift or remove carpet pad when needed, pull baseboards to let walls breathe, and move furniture onto blocks to prevent staining and wicking. Items that are saturated or cannot be dried safely are documented before removal so you have a record for your claim.
Drying begins before we leave
Extraction removes the bulk of the water, but moisture remains in materials. Before leaving the first visit, we take readings and install air movers and dehumidifiers positioned for the space. This drying setup is what prevents the damage from growing overnight.
We return to monitor progress, adjust equipment and log readings. If materials show signs they cannot be dried in place, we explain why and what the options are. From there, the job moves into structural drying and, when needed, repair.
